3. Pete Koehler takes NAU students to view the Grand Canyon and it's Geology. Viewing the Grand Canyon's geology in person puts in perspective the development of the region and provides historical information as to the development of the Earth.
4. The Grand Canyon is one of the most impressive geologic formations on Earth. Pete Koehler teaches a Historical Geology course at Northern Arizona University. He took his students to view Grand Canyon geology, to help put in perspective the amount of geological information contained in the canyon. "Talking about the geology of the Grand Canyon is one thing, but being there and actually seeing it is another thing entirely." said one student. The trip included a Grand Canyon Geology lecture on the rim, to provide new views on the Grand Canyon, even for those who had been there before.
